What Is Permanent Makeup?
Permanent makeup is cosmetic tattooing. The techniques used may be referred to as "micropigmentation", "micro-pigment implantation", or "dermagraphics". The technique uses a specialized tool that deposits pigment into the skin.
How Are Permanent Cosmetic Procedures Performed?
Cosmetic procedures are performed using a variety of different devices, such as a pen, a hand device, and machines. Following a consultation, the treatment will take place, and at least one or two follow up appointments that assess healed results.
Who Can Benefit From Cosmetic Procedures?
Individuals who desire a natural enhancement in their appearance can benefit from permanent cosmetics. This type of service spans from the young (18 and over), to the more matured person who may want to look their very best. Permanent cosmetics is optimal for people who may have cosmetic allergies, or challenged vision. Those who are physically active in sports such as hiking, running, and swimming will not have the worry of makeup sweating off.

Who Should Not Get Permanent Makeup?
Although most people have exceptional results some individuals are not a good candidate for permanent makeup. If you have any of the following circumstances treatment is not recommended:

*Individuals with excessive oily skin may be recommended to visit more frequently for an annual touch up because there is a chance that the skin may not hold the pigment or may fade faster over time. ​
How Long Does The Healing Process Take?
The healing process varies with each person, however, 7-14 days is typical. Swelling and tenderness is completely normal following the procedure and results will appear darker at first compared to how it will look when the skin has fully healed. Please remember that everybody is unique and results are partly dependent on your skin.

What Type Of Procedures Can Be Done?
Dependent on the look you are trying to achieve permanent cosmetics can be very subtle or dramatic. Options can include: eyeliner, lip liner, lip color, eyebrows, scar camouflage, and many more!

Is It Painful?
You may experience some discomfort during the procedure however, pain is dependent on the clients threshold. If a client is concerned about pain we apply various topical anesthetics that are specifically designed for the selected service.

What Is A Touch Up?
Often times after an initial treatment the color is not perfect when it heals; permanent cosmetics is a process and will require at least one follow-up appointment. We recommend following up no sooner than eight weeks to allow time for the healing process. Lip treatments require a standard of at least six weeks to heal because the skin is very fine. Due to a client's age and health time frames may vary.
Is It Safe?
We take safety very seriously and meet all proper sanitation and disinfection guidelines. We maintain education in OSHA training, bloodborne pathogens, and COVID-19. All needles are disposable, sterile and will be opened in front of the client. The artist is trained in BLS, CPR, and First Aid and will always wear proper personal protective equipment.
